Embroidery Trials and concepts
I have worked on many embellished groups throughout my time at Ramy Brook. I have a love of embellishments and fabric manipulations and love to explore different ideas to work them into later design concepts. some of the below ideas have been adapted to into different design groups I have worked on as well as some fabric manipulation ideas have been developed to update core fabric groups with new focus
Cotton Poplin
I have been responsible each season for working on the Core Cotton poplin groups. Since these groups are high booking groups and it is a repeditive fabrication season in and out I have focused on Great bodies and at times different fabric manipulation concepts to elevate each style. Please see some samples of embellishements and embroiderys worked on.
the concept for this group tied back to the initial concept for the collection. I developed a embroidery to tie back to the RTW concept for the season and worked with the factory on the styles in this group and the novelty trims
Embroidery Trials
Coverups Cotton Embroidery
For this Group I developed a cut out flower on a shadow cotton fabric to elevate a core cotton fabric which is essential to the coverups line. I worked on the artwork and developed different colorways as well as designing and working on the below finished product.
