After graduation, I collaborated with an Irish Design store In Dublin City centre called Om Diva where I made pieces that were wearable yet fun to adhere to the customer of the store. I focused on fun hand embellishments and embroideries combined with silks, tulle and embellished denim and lame jersey. This in turn led to pireces being. borrowed by stylists to be used in photoshoots in Ireland and the US and featured in magazines such as Image.ie and Berlin Mag.
BA Graduate collection
In May 2015 I designed and made A six piece collection which was showcased at the Limerick LSAD fashion show and was displayed and sold in Atelier 27 in Omdiva boutique, Drury street, Dublin.
This collection is based on my childhood love of storybooks focusing on the tale of Alice in wonderland. A book that was given to me by my grandparents for a childhood birthday it became a night time read as my imagination wandered into the depths of wonderland.
Focusing on Alice as she falls down the rabbit hole I want to capture the surreal nature of the book as she loses her grasp on reality and her concept of time runs astray when she meets the mad hatter and friends for tea. Through my use of fabrics
and textures I hope to create something that is both bonkers and magical and captures you in the madness of another surreal world.
